SPACE AT THE CENTRE

Oaken Grove Community Centre is a newly refurbished modern building, converted for community use by City of York Council in 2004 from part of a former primary school on the site.

The building is set in its own attractive grounds, in Reid Park just off Oaken Grove on the northern side of Haxby, and has its own car park for up to 21 vehicles.

The Building

The building is wheelchair friendly, complete with wheelchair accessible toilet, and two baby changing facilities. We will offer four rooms, all available for hire, either individually or together.

Acorn Room – featuring a beautiful atrium skylight. This room holds up to 40 people. £13 per hour individual/charity rate / £18 per hour commercial/corporate rate.

Oak Tree Room – This room holds up to 40 people and is suitable for training or presentations as it is equipped with a projection screen and projector. £13 per hour individual/charity rate / £18 per hour commercial/corporate rate.

Oak Tree and Acorn Room combined – both larger rooms can be hired as one large space when the partitions are opened. This could hold up to 80 people. A sound system is installed throughout the building and is available for use in these rooms. £20 per hour individual/charity rate / £30 per hour commercial/corporate rate.

Conservatory – a smaller meeting room holding up to 20 people, with comfortable seating. £10 per hour individual/charity rate / £15 per hour commercial/corporate rate.

Little Acorn Office – small meeting room which is suitable for use as an office for up to 3 people or as an interview or consultation room.

£8 per hour individual/charity rate / £13 per hour commercial/corporate rate.
