NEWS AND UPDATES

YOUTH SUPPORT VOLUNTEER NEEDED!

We are looking for a volunteer to help in our Tuesday evening Creative Crafting Club, working with young people aged 8-11 years of age. This volunteer position has been created to help provide 1 to 1 support for members of our group who may need additional assistance to complete their crafting activities.

We are looking for an individual who is keen to gain experience working with groups of young people, especially those who may be higher need, and can commit to volunteering during term time up to the summer, with the possibility of continuing in September in either a voluntary or paid role depending on staffing opportunities and funding.

Creative Crafting Club runs Tuesdays, 6-7:30pm, term time only, at the Wigginton Old School.

Please email communityties@hwyca.co.uk with a short letter of interest or for more details. We are hoping to have a volunteer in post as soon as possible.

OUTREACH SERVICES

Our youth provision also delivers activity outside of Oaken Grove, through outreach and detached youth work in the community. We deliver sessions in parks and public spaces, and at other youth groups and provisions. If you are interested in an outreach session in your community group, school, or service, please get in touch.

VOLUNTEERING

We are always on the lookout for enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to help us deliver our youth provision – you must be able to commit to helping weekly or fortnightly for at least 6 months. You will receive full training, support and travel expenses. Please call us on 01904 769176 or email us at communityties@hwyca.co.uk if you’re interested.
